Welcome to my website. This site is all about me and the things I
support, enjoy and love. As you can see I love cats and support cat
rescue. Where did it all start. In 1989 I got my first two cats, Keesha & Snuffy and then 12 years later a cat name Seri showed up in my
back yard. Actually she came leaping across the yard as if she had
known me whole life. Little did I know she would change the course of
my life forever. About a month, after she starting her daily routine of
arriving for food, I noticed she had a pudgy stomach. Lo and behold she
was pregnant. Of course she had to come inside at this point so she
moved in. A few weeks later she sent my life into a
spiral. She went into labor and started giving birth. Not to
just one, two, three, four or five babies...but seven. Oh my gosh.
I couldn't believe this tiny little cat had that many healthy babies inside.
Long story short, I kept two and now I had four. That is when my life became
about the CATS! Over the next few years I took in strays and dumped and unwanted
cats. Including one cat I found that could not walk well. His name
was Dexter. I found out years later that Dexter had a bb lodged in his
spine. Someone had shot him and that is the reason he could not walk well. We had some
wonderful years together as you can read about if you click the link for
Dexter. Dexter passed away tragically on July 14 of this year.
He was enjoying some time outside overnight when some dogs chased and killed him.
At least that is the story my neighbor told me. I found him in the
morning lying peacefully at rest under the tree in front of the house next
door. He was coming home. I was devastated.
As one could imagine after having
put their heart and soul into this precious, sweet unfortunate creature. He
taught me so much in my short time with him and has left a huge paw print on
my heart.
Over the past few years I've brought in many cats
and lost many due to illnesses. It has and always will be very
difficult to accept losing these precious, formerly unwanted and lost
felines but the joy they brought to my life will never be forgotten.

After thousands of
dollars in vet bills I decided I needed to try to get
back on my feet so I decided to try becoming a Virtual
Assistant. I found such sites as
http://www.Odesk.com and
http://www.Elance.com that hired Virtual Assistants, Word Processes, Web
Designers and so on. Oh this was right up my alley. Skills that
I have and had not been using. In this journey with various jobs and
networking I have found some delightful people and exciting opportunities.
What a great idea to have websites where you can bid on jobs. And even
hire someone to do a job for you that you just don't have the time or skills
to do yourself. I have been having the
time of my life being creative, learning and growing. My skillset is
ever increasing and there is no end to the possibilities this has opened up
in my life. So, now, here
I am working full time and pursuing a career as a Virtual Assistant/Personal
Assistant. I'm utilizing all those skills I learned over my career as
a student and employee. I even managed to get my niece to sign on and within a couple days she had a job.
She really likes this working at home in her pj's idea. And she is
only 19 years old. Lucky for her to have an opportunity like this to learn
different things, develop new skills and learn how to interview and to work for a variety of people. She
seems to really like it and I like being able to share the experiences with her.
So, if you get a chance please check out my profile on both Elance and Odesk
and spread the word that I'm
available for hire. You might also tell your friends, family and
co-workers that they can also post jobs for things they would like done and
have people bid on the job. The bids are really great too.
Hugs to all my friends and family who always encourage
me to chase my dreams and follow my heart including putting up with me going
to college pursing a variety of "ideas for my future". As I have
found it is a wonderful world full of opportunities. When you stop
learning you have stopped living. Thanks to my Mom and Dad for all the
years of encouragement and support even when you didn't agree with my
endeavors. I'm excited about what the future has to hold and will
never stop looking.
