MEOW.....WE ARE A FEW OF THE HOMELESS CATS..... What is a Homeless Cat ? Cats become homeless because they were either discarded by their owners, became lost or they were unfortunate enough to be offspring of a cat that was lost or discarded. At first they may seem wild but many times they are just scared and fearful of humans. They are without a home, desperately trying to find food and shelter. Then SCFN came to their rescue and took them in. All of these cats are infected with FIV and/or FeLV. Being infected with these viruses minimizes their chances of finding someone to adopt them and give them their forever home. The Space Coast Feline Network has taken these sweet cats to live in their sanctuary. Because SCFN operates solely on donations from the public they are always in need of monetary assistance to care for these adorable cats. By becoming a sponsor you will provide these cats with food, routine care and veterinary care and a safe place to live out their lives or until they find a forever home. Why Sponsor a Homeless Cat ? The cats featured for sponsorship currently reside at our Mims Sanctuary. These cats have Feline Leukemia and/or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and are very difficult to adopt to loving homes. Your sponsorship will enable these cats to live a better life than they would have lived on the streets. Your donation also enables SCFN to continue to provide routine and veterinary care for these cats while they are at the sanctuary or until they find their forever home. SCFN also has a Long Term Foster Program. This is a great program that is beneficial to the cats and the caregivers. For more information on this program and how it works click here. Or you may contact Kathleen Harer, President, SCFN or Tami Reed, Volunteer, SCFN. Levels of Sponsorship 1. Lifetime - for a one time donation of $1,000.00 you can sponsor a cat for life. This donation will enable SCFN to provide food, routine care and veterinary care for the lifetime of the sponsored cat. 2. Yearly - for a donation of $300.00 you can sponsor a cat for one year. This donation will enable SCFN to provide food, routine care and veterinary care for a cat for one year. 3. Monthly - for a donation of $25.00 a month you can sponsor a cat for one month. This will enable SCFN to provide food, routine care and veterinary care for a cat for one month. 4. Other - For any amount, paid monthly, you can help sponsor a cat. This will assist SCFN with the costs to provide for the care and veterinary needs of a cat. Cats that need a Sponsor The cats featured below all need sponsorship. If you want more information about the cat, please click on their picture. You will have a link to sponsoring the cat from their page. Please select a sponsorship level and read the information. Thanks for helping us help the cats. All of these cats below have tested positive for FeLV and/or FIV and are available for our long term Foster Program or Sponsorship. They can be fostered as only cats or with cats with the same health status as them. We have a Foster Program where the caretaker agrees to provide a home and regular care for the cat and SCFN pays for veterinary bills.
