July 10 Update from me: One more update from me with pictures below of Dexter post surgery and treatment. He looks so so wonderful. I am so pleased with his progress. He was less than thrilled to see my poking a camera in HIS SPACE but I think he was glad to hear my voice and see me. It had been a couple weeks since I was able to go to see him. This will be the last time I am able to see him until I am recovered from surgery but I know he is in such wonderful hands. I will definitely miss him. The enclosure is being built for him but had a road block because I need a permit to build something so large on my property. I hope to get it approved before I leave so that the nice man that is donating his time to build it will be able to work on it while I'm gone. I will have to pay for materials but it is such a generous offer from him to donate his time. He is so nice and I'm so very lucky to have so many wonderful people helping us. Dexter is done with antibiotics but will still need some laser surgery on his pressure wounds on his feet. I guess I'll also have to buy a couple of those beds since he seems to enjoy the bed so much. The bed belonged to one of my cats Jasper but I'm sure he was fine with me letting Dexter use it!!! LOL! We love you all! Enjoy the wonderful pictures of Dexter - he looks so super! I bet he feels 100% better and can't wait to come home. So....thank you for making this possible. It is because of all of you that Dexter is still here!!!! Paw hugs, Tami |
