June 10, 2005 Update by Tina:
I am excited to
report that Dexter looks really good. We sedated him today and barely had to
cut away any dead skin. There was no infection (pus or discharge) what so
ever, all healthy tissue. The wound is closing well and healing better than
we expected. It is probably 25% smaller than when you dropped him off last
Friday and all the visible muscle sections are covered. It's now a little
bigger than a silver dollar. He's doing really well, I think given that you
haven't seen him in a week you would be surprised at how good it looks. A
couple more weeks of oral antibiotics and he should be all well. His foot
still looks bad though. I guess one step at a time.
