June 12, 2005 Update by Tina:

He does look great and seems to be feeling really good. He eats so well, but he always did. His general condition seems better..........his eyes brighter, coat softer. If you could see the wound you would be amazed. It healed faster than anyone expected, including Dr. Burton, who never had any doubt it would heal just not this quickly. He just looks really good. I was giving him his antibiotic by mouth with a pill gun but knowing Kathleen was taking him and not looking forward to medicating hands on I tried last night to put the pill in his food. He ate the whole can, pill and all. So as I said before he should be easy to care for. One pill in his food every 24 hours. I know he can't wait until this is all over and he can get back to Puddin. It's a small sacrifice for what is hopefully a long, comfortable life.

I'm happy I had the opportunity to play a small part in saving Dexter's life. Dexter is happy you did not give up on him when others had told you to do so. Thank God you were wise enough to get a second opinion and thank God for Dr. Burton's knowledge and support. After all, his life depended on it.
